Put a box over names, ID numbers and addresses, or let it find them for you. What is under a box is removed from the file, not just covered.
Boxes stay see-through while you work, so you can check what each one covers. Every page, with its boxes, runs down the right.
A black rectangle drawn over text leaves the text underneath, and anybody can copy it out. Here a page with a box is rebuilt from a picture of itself, so what was under the box is simply not in the saved copy.
Drag a box over anything private, then move it, resize it by its handles or nudge it with the arrow keys. Boxes stay see-through while you work, so you can see exactly what each one covers, and the strip shows the boxes on every page.
Type a name or a number and every match on every page gets a box. Or pick a ready-made search: long numbers such as ID cards, bank accounts and card numbers, email addresses, or phone numbers. Every match is listed, one click away.
When you save, each page with a box becomes a picture of itself with the boxes painted in. Its old text, images and form fields are deleted from the file, together with anything that earlier saves of the file left behind inside it.
The title, author and keywords, the program that made the file, attached files and scripts are removed as well, unless you untick it. A form field on a rebuilt page is taken out together with the value typed into it.
The saved copy is opened again and searched once more for everything you marked. If something is still in it, you are told on which page before anything is downloaded.
Pages without a box keep their text, links and bookmarks exactly as they were. Or rebuild every page, when the whole document should carry no text at all. Undo and redo cover every box.
Most free online PDF tools send your file to somebody else's computer, then ask you to trust that it really was deleted afterwards. That is a strange bargain for a document you are redacting precisely because somebody must not read it. Vuiso does not work that way: everything happens inside your own device, exactly like opening a file in a program installed on your computer. Your file never leaves your machine.
The easiest way to check: switch off your Wi‑Fi or unplug your internet, then use it as usual. Everything still works. A tool that quietly sends your file to someone else's server could not do that. As an extra safeguard, the page is locked down from the start, so your own browser blocks anything that tries to send data out.
There is no tool to pick first: drag on the page to draw a box, and click a box to select it.

Launch without downloading DownloadOne file at a time. The search reads the text inside the PDF, so a scan has nothing to find: draw those boxes by hand, and look at every box before saving. Pages with a box become pictures, so their text can no longer be selected. Password-protected PDFs cannot be opened. Your original file is never modified.
